Over 2 million Australians used cannabis in the last year. Despite strong public support for ending marijuana prohibition, Drug Law Reform Australia faces a difficult task ahead. While many Australians believe the current laws are irrational, few realise we have the power to create change.
The Australian government has been free to wage a destructive and wasteful war on marijuana users. In 2013 the Australian Crime Commission statistics reveal that 66,684 Australians were arrested for marijuana offenses – 87% of these were for simple possession. That's one marijuana arrest every 10 minutes or 167 every day. Every year, police arrest more marijuana users than all the arrests for violent crimes combined.
That’s why we need your Help
